Having grown up in both Ecuador and Minnesota, Aidan’s creative practice often deals with themes, issues and narratives that aim to bridge the American continents and cultures.

Aidan’s methodical approach to image making is one of personal relationships within communities and passion for connection that together form work that is as intimate as it is energetic.

Klimenko is a winner of LensCulture’s 2023 Emerging Talent Award and recent recipient of a National Geographic journalism grant for his first book project, “Achupalla”.

Klimenko’s images have been published in an array of notable print and online publications such as National Geographic, Time and LensCulture. Klimenko’s client list for commercial imagery includes Subaru, Adidas, Nike, REI, Seabuorn, Doên, VINCE and Alex Mill.
